My soon to be x's attorney gave my attorney a list of witnesses for our divorce trial. He does not want this divorce. He thinks I'm having an affair with a guy in Tennessee. I do have a friend in Tennessee but we talk on the phone and that's it. We haven't seen each other in 12 years. Why are witnesses needed for a divorce?
To prove something that the other person wants proven. They have to provide you with a list of witnesses. Your attorney will be able to cross-examine them too.
