My STBX and I are going to file uncontested with a minor child. I have absolutely no money for a lawyer but I am doing the divorce all by myself. He is a drug addict who is currently court-order in a drug rehab for failing a pee test while on probabtion.
He said that he would not sign any of the papers if it stated in it that he has an addiction, mind you that I am not taking any rights away and giving him visitation. If I allow him to do this and I DO NOT disclose his addiction, would I be held in contempt if something comes up later and needs to be change?

Jessica,

If your husband is is court ordered rehab, the system already has his number. Hopefully he can clean up his act and become some kind of father to you child.

With that said, you really need to find someway to get some legal help. Some firms will represent you on a sliding scale based on your ability to pay. If you are really lucky you can find one that will represent you pro-bono (free). You owe it to your child to protect them from a drug infested world.
