when is it legal here in tennessee to start dating without it being considered adultary? Can you start dating legally after the papers have been filed and served? My husband tells me that I can not even have coffee with a friend from church or anyone of the male gender until after we are divorced and the judge signs the paper work, is that true or that he can claim I was cheating.I need to know so that I can protect myself. Can you please help?

i have to rply to this i can't stand it anymore!!!!
if you have kids you need to worry about them and not if you can have sex or date while you are seperated. you priorities seem to be somewhere else or you just don't give a shit!

I have been trying to get a divorce for over 2 1/2 years. I was to have been divorced on 2/16/04. My husband delayed the divorce (who knows why) Anyway, I decided to get along with my life since we had already been separated for over 6 months. I started dating a wonderful man in late March of 2004. Well, the estranged husband was able to modify his action and use Adultery as a cause for divorce. Now, keep in mind that our divorce should have been over 2/16/04. If he had not delayed the process, Adultery would not have been an issue. I have been trying to get a divorce for almost as long as I was married to this man. So, in Tennessee, you better be careful. It can cause you problems if you start seeing someone. I do not have any children because I am over 50 and just trying to get this thing over.

Remember you are married until the decree has been signed by the judge, even then there are some time restraints on getting remarried or dating. He has grounds.sorry.He tried your patience and won.

I do have to say this now that I know,,,,,,,, Tennessee is a no fault state,,,, To this state adultery doesn't mean shit. It is no ones fault. So ,,,,,,,
