I have an adoption process with now a contempt issue of past due child support. My husband is adopting my DD from first marriage, my ex couldn't sign the papers fast enough (less than 24 hours) and then he told his company he didn't have to pay the child support anymore. That was over 8 weeks ago and I am trying to get that child support back until we have the final hearing as we really could use the money.
MA doesn't have jurisdiciton over the child support (order in AZ and he lives and works in TX) but Fed law still mandates that this is owed until the paperwork is completed. I am getting really bullied by him and his attorney and now they are threatening that at the adoption hearing they will bring this up, attempt to show that he has "overpaid" and that they are "confident" that they will get attorney's fees from me because this took so long.
Um, we had to think long and hard if we really wanted to do this.
So any feedback on how Keamy works would be great. I am so worn out from this I could cry.
