The Spousal Support Handbook The Spousal Support Handbook ($28.99)
Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!

That is a question to ask an attorney in your area. They are more familiar with how judges rule in regards to alimony.

In my state (NJ), it depends on the county you live in. In the richer counties, alimony is a given when there is big disparity in income (and there is in your case). And it is usually at least half the marriage. In marriages that are over 10 years, you could be looking at longer. But that is my state.

Your state and county could be completely different. And only an attorney familiar with both your state and county can give you a reasonable guess.

I don't know that there will be alimony. I used an online CS calculator, and it appears you will pay in the $850 range. And, with having you file as single in future, rather than married with children, it puts your total net income in the $28,000 range. If there's any, it will be small. However, an attorney in your area would be able to give you the most accurate assessement. Good luck.

Who is providing the insurance? Usually it is a credit to the person providing it. Meaning that if the ncp is providing it, the child support is reduced a little. If the CP is providing it, then the child support is increased a little.

If both are providing it, it may not have an effect at all. But with 2 insurance plans, there usually isn't a co-pay and less out of pocket expenses.

As for the alimony being determined after child support, I would check with a lawyer. Because that isn't always the case.
