i live in nh and just obtained a 1 yr restraining order against my husband,he has been granted supervised visitations. he is not paying me anything and the court system takes for ever...in order for me to get an emergency support hearing i would need to be in forclosure on my mortgage...how can i speed this up?
Did you go to the state of NH or did you go to your own city? If you go to the city welfare department they can give you emergency help. You provide them proof of income and other expenses and if you have a monthly deficit they will give you the difference toward your mortgage. Their standards are much more lenient then the state. They will actually listen to your story and what’s going on instead of just looking at the numbers. I know that's the case in Dover, I am not sure if it is the case in other cities. It's worth checking out though. Good Luck :)
my town is small and has no town welfare office...there is a helping hands commity that has been helping me here and there...i just cannot believe that the court system takes so long to order support..how are we suppose to live?
