My daughter, nearly 18 years old, will begin college at a SUNY school next month. I've asked her father, my ex-husband, to evenly split the cost of tuition and housing with me. He says he will only pay for half of tuition - not housing. If he refuses to contribute toward her housing at school, can I request an upward modification in child support (currently he pays only $82 per week) to cover these costs?

NO , CS will continue till 21 but expenses for post-secondary education can't be ordered unless stipulated .
