Hello it is along story... so if u need all te detels please let me know... my question is i was going to send 600$ to my ex to get the divorce done... when my friend told me that she didn't think it would be a good idea to take the change of him not using the money for the divorce... we were married in NYC i am from canada and i now live in hong kong.... i was wondering if there was anyway i could do the divorce from here... another thing not as important but i neaver told the canadian gov that i was married nore did i tell the HK gove when i was gettin my via that i was married... could someone pleae help me
Your case is far too complicated to not have an attorney that is well versed in international/intercontinental divorces. If you were married in the US, you would probably get divorced in the US. $600 would be dirt cheap compared to what an attorney would charge, and you should be able to get the divorce while living in Hong Kong. Whether your STBX follows if you give them the money through is another question.....good luck.
