My stbx cashed in his home equity in Feb. and we paid off some bills - he left in Aug and now wants me to reimburse him half of the money from the cashed 401 K -- can he do that?
It sounds like the home equity was used to pay joint bills (pretty much all are marital debt when you are married). All cash, 401K's that were cashed, bank account, assets, etc. are usually split 50/50 upon divorce.
