I refuse to sign any divorce papers. How long can I hold out before being forced into it. After almost 25 years of marriage, I want to fight to hold on....

I don't know the time frame in MA, but since it is "no-fault" divorce state, there is no stopping it. Sorry for the bad news.

Thanks, even though that is not what I wanted to hear. I do not want to give up trying. I need to be more educated in MA laws... with every thing I have read so far, nothing touches on this.

You can't stop the divorce but a lawyer should have no problem protracting the proceedings. The catch is it will cost each of you a fortune in legal expenses and will be equally unpleasant for you as it is for him. It's not so good for your Karma either.
