My husband asked me for a divorce last Tuesday. He said he doesn't want to go to counseling but he wants to remain friends and wants to work this out amicably. I know we are going to fight over the kids. I have two boys. I don't want to loose them but am also afraid of supporting them on my own. I want to remain in the house we are currently living in so that they can attend the same school, hang out with the same friends, and play ball at the same park. We both make about the same amount of money but he is self employed. I tried using the child support calculator but it seems like it sends it somewhere and then it is calculated. Is there a way to calculate it on our own and get an accurate figure?

thanks.

You are going to want a lawyer to help with your fight. The lawyer should be able to run the child support numbers for you. I do not trust the online calculators.

They're confusing , but you can read the GA CS Guidelines and calculate the correct amount yourself .

Go to allaw.com. They have an online calculator.
