Quick question but not a simple one

I got married 8 months ago and my father bought the ring, it his on is account, she is filing for the divorce, he wants it back as do I because of the symbolism of it. in Nebraska can we get it back?

I could be wrong but it sounds like there is still a balance owed for the ring? If so you can make her pay half when you divide your debt for the divorce, you could also offer to pay the entire debt for the ring if she gives the ring back.
