Married for 1 year 11 months, 16 month old son. I make $90,000 she worked in the daycare field up to birth of our son & was to go back to work but now doesn't want son in daycare so she has no income. Child support sould be around $1,700 mo. Her attorney is asking for rehabilitative spousal support - what do you think, if any I am looking at?
for a marriage less than 2 years...my attorney would have laughed for even thinking such a thing. I would bet that there is no chance she would get this.
Do you have an attorney? MI is one of those states that it is easy to get alimony, but never on a marriage of this length. I would counter with asking for her to pay your attorney bills if such nonsense continues.
I will be getting one, thought this was a simple matter givent he lenth of marrige & the friend of the court handling the child issues, I was taken by suprise with the rehabilitative support request.
