I would stick firm to your original (rejected) offer. I predict she'll come back for it. If you retract it you move further from a settlement and closer to to hashing it out in court and blowing it all on legal bills.

That was before I realized that she wasn't just entitled to alimony for the asking. She could ask for it but might not get it, and I didn't know that.
I didn't ask for spousal support. However I have been told by my than one source that spousal support is not an option if I am fit and able to work. I would have to be disabled for a certain length of time and not able to work to get any amount of spousal support. Check with your lawyer.

Ok, so mistakes were made. That does not change your options. Either live up to your original offer or blow a bunch of time and money in court with a very good chance of being ordered to live up to your original offer.
