If the divorce papers have been filed, but there has been a postponement because he hasn't gone to parenting classes.....are we legally separated or not?!? And, if we are legally separated, am I allowed to be in a relationship with another man. Will this relationship have any bearing on the divorce, ie. child custody?
You're not legally separated until a separation agreement has been signed by a judge . If you've filed for divorce , you're still married until the divorce is finalized . Usually adultery doesn't affect custody but it can in extreme circumstances .

This is a question for the attorney. In Missouri it is still considered adultery. Advise from my lawyer was keep to yourself. And if I felt I had to see someone make sure no one saw me. The stbx could have used it in court to make the settlement less. He could have lied and told judge that he wanted to come back but I had someone else.
