My husband currently pays his ex 165.00 for his two kids that live in colorado , and we've just recently had a baby. We've discovered that paying for daycare is just going to be too much. Plus the expense of living in maine with the cold winters and oil prices and gas prices. We realize that it's just cheaper if one of us stays at home while the other one works we still can pay our bills and feed ourselves just not the extras, like buy a new car or going out to eat all the time. But i'm the bread winner so it makes sense for me to work plus i have great benefits and for him to stay home. question is how will child support affect him if he becomes a stay at home dad? Will they come after me to pay his ex for support where he isn't going to be working anymore? How does things get refigured?
