Ive been married to my husband for a little over 4 years now and we have 3 children, a 3 month old, 2 year old and 3 year old, he is active dute in the army. I am tired of doing everything and getting nothing from him. I want a divorce and im needing some advice. He does no house or yard work, does not take care of the kids or bills. He goes to work and used to come home and drink until he passed out, that went on until about a month and a half ago when he tried to kill me and was sent to jail and had a no contact order, he doesnt remember anything from that night because he was drunk, this isnt the first time he has done things like this to me. His court date is coming up for charges of aggravated domestic assault and child endangerment, because when he came after me with the knife my 3 year old son was right beside me. What am i entitled to in this divorce? Can i file in the state in which we are stationed? or does it have to be in the state where i am still a resident and where we got married in? Im just really lost in all this and dont know what to do, or who to turn to. Any advice at all would be really great. Thanks so much!
