putting home in children's names

Having reached agreement on our marriage settlement I am about to purchase a new home for the children and myself. I am wondering if anyone knows the legal implications, if any, of putting this new home into my children's names so that if I should I either remarry or live with someone the home is safe and cannot be considered either marital or community property. At least I hope that it cannot be considered as either.

You could if the children are at least 18 years old.
