My wife of 29 years filed for divorce. We have been seperated for about a year. There are no children involved. The only liquid assets are a retiremnt fund and some stock. I am concerned about distribution and equity. My wife worked most of our marriage to support her shopping habit. She never contributed to payment of debts on her personal charge cards either. Am i just confused or does it depend on a judge how assets and debts are handled?
Property distribution post-divorce in an equitable distribution state , like Missouri , will generally favor the spouse that earns less . What are your concerns ?
