FREAKING OUT BIG TIME

My ex-husband and I started the simplified divorce in March of this year. We both want this divorce; our daughter is an adult so we have no child support or custody issues. So we have been waiting and waiting, doing all the things we need to do. I started this in March knowing I am going to Egypt in August to marry. My ex-husband and I had been apart three years before we filed. So here comes the deadline still we are waiting for the final judgment. Today I get this paper in the mail that we have to appear in court. I called and the lady said that the judge must have seen something in our papers he wants to clear up. Well the date he set for court is the time I will be out of the country and hoping to get remarried. Now I am sick to my stomach, the lady told my ex-husband to call Monday and see if they can see us sooner. My question is what are my chances of this even happening? I am in Escambia county, not sure how fast things are done here. But I don’t care what they do, all I want is my final judgment to get remarried. If any one has any kind of advice I sure could use it. Thanks again. By the way my ex-husband feels the same way, so we both just want this done.

Both of you should call the judge's office and ask that the date be moved up. With you both wanting and asking for the same thing, I would expect that if it is at all possible, the judge will be accomodating.
