First off....I want to thank all of you for taking your time to respond with very helpful information!

Second thing that I am coming to realize where I may up a creek with-out a paddle. She told me she wanted a divorce the first week of October. She has given us some time to really mull things over and a week ago she said she wants to move forward. We agreed to go through a mediator. The mediator said they will file all the paperwork for us at the end of the sessions. We are not meeting with them for another week. That means there is nothing filed and nothing on record. And I am assuming that also means there is nothing keeping her from dropping me from her insurance. She brought the insurance issue to my attention on 11/30. I am assuming that is because her job told her she had this month to cancel me for Jan 1. Is there anything I can do to protect myself? The only thing I can think of is to hope she does not know about what filing does to restrain her from dropping me and request that the divorce filing be done right away when we meet with the mediator.

Any additional advice is GREATLY appreciated. Take care.

I'm confused , has she filed for dissolution or not ?

She has not filed yet. We decided to go to a mediator that told us they handle all the paperwork at once. This includes the initial filing as well as the settlement.
