Just an idea...dont hesitate to call the IRS directly and let them know...they may give you some good advise!

FYI - If he owes back support - his tax refund goes to back support arrears & yes , if they live with you primarily - you use the deduction. You are the head of household. Nothing wrong with a call to the IRS though just to clarify.

My decree states that my X can claim our son unless he's behind on his support.

Regarding CSE--it takes them months to get the ball rolling.
