Quit Clain Deed

is there anyway to remove my husband's name from the quit claim deed to allow me to sell the house? i have maintained and always was the only one paying the mortgage. i want to leave the state and need to sell he is currently serving time for domestic abuse and may also be deported due to a domestic abuse case against him. any help would be appreciated. i am scared to be here when he is released.
the divorce proceeding have not been started yet.
