I never had such a clause in my decree...however I still asked my ex (1st one) if he wanted kids before I left them with a sitter or made other arrangements. In the beginning he was very angry and accused me of "using him"...so I stopped asking. Then he complained that I didn't ask. It was a no-win situation. Eventually we got past most of the crap, although it still crept in once in a while.
