He got the house....what can she do?

I have a friend whose divorce was finalized in December; he's letting his ex stay in the house even though he was awarded the house in the divorce. They have two kids and he wanted to give her time to find somewhere else to live. She claims she has signed a lease on an apartment and will be moving in early March, but she recently threatened to squat in the house and threatened to stop paying all the utilities and half the mortgage (as she was ordered to do in the divorce settlement as long as she occupies the house, and she's only allowed to stay there for six months).

Can she do this? What would be his legal recourse?

If she lives in the house and does not make the payments as required, your friend can file a contempt-of-court charge against her and suggest to the judge that he order her to leave the house.
