Can someone please tell me what good a separation agreement is? My fiancee had one rolled into his final divorce decree. He pays what he's supposed to pay and tries to stay involved in the children's lives. While he follows the rules, his ex seems to spend her free time coming up with ways to screw him over. If we take her to court, they'll slap her on the wrist, she'll do all the same things all over again, and we'll be out thousands of dollars. What is the point? The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness applies to everyone except divorced fathers in this state.
