Stationed in Colorado, originally from West Virginia, I got married in Texas. I'm not sure which state to try and obtain a divorce from. Which one would be preferable?

The one that has legal jurisdiction. And that is where your legal residence is.

You don't get to pick a state based on where you will do better.
