Our divorce decree states that as we are both declaring bankruptcy, debt is not an issue and we agree to "hold each other harmless". I am continuing on the path to bankruptcy, but, my ex has changed his mind. He has somehow found the money to pay off his bills. He is now asking me what my intentions are with the bill that financed the furniture that I have. The bill is in his name, and was my responsibility until we both decided to do the bankruptcy. Any thoughts on this???????
1) you do not owe him anything. 2) If he does not want to file bankruptcy thats his business. your divorced. what he does financially does not effect you. Unless he skips out on child support.
