Banckruptcy and Divorce--Possible?

I am filing chapter 7 in Texas, and I will also be filing
for divorce as well in Texas. Understanding I have to wait
until the judge approves the bankruptcy, but how soon can I
begin filing for divorce? This will be a no contest divorce. Everything will be agreed upon.
Any advice will be appreciated.

I actually had to do the opposite... I wasn't able to file for bk until my divorce was final. Otherwise, I would have had to to a joint bk or have my ex sign off on everything and there was NO way that was going to happen.

Are you filing together? Or just you? If it's just you, I think you have to flip flop them...
