Divorce Support Forums: I live in Massachusetts and spouse of 15 mos.
The Spousal Support Handbook The Spousal Support Handbook ($28.99)
Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!

wants support. We have no proprty, or mutual children and make approx. same $$. I pay child support every week for a child that is not ours so her wkly. net is actually higher than mine. This would leave me virtually homeless with no place to bring child everyoter weekend. Is this possible? Don't want to spend $$ on lawyer if not necessary. Seems Totally unfair.

Given that you have only been married for 15 months, I seriously doubt you will be paying spousal support.

I won't even get into the fact that your incomes are similar as the very short-term nature of your marriage just does not warrent spousal support.
