My wife forged my signature on a ck that was issued by the insurance company for a claim on roof hail damage. It was made out to both of us...she didn't tell me about it and deposited it in our account. The money is gone. This was back in July of 2006. Is this against the law...please help.

If she deposited it into a joint account it didn't even need a signature. she could have put for deposit only.

If a name on the check matches a name on an account, the deposit does not require an endorsement.

Not the answer I wanted to hear. I thought I could trust her, but I was wrong!
