Parents aproving and supporting sex and marrage to kids at 13,14, & 15 years of age is against the law. Thats a pretty good cause.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Due process.

So you're OK with the state coming into your home and taking your kids without any due process based on someone purportedly making a phone call and claiming you have sexually abused your kids?

===========================================================
..if the state of Texas has overstepped peoples' constitutional rights then that is more of a travesty than anything "the cult" has been accused of.
===========================================================

State governments, in cases like this and others, overstep constitutional rights all of the time. How can you have a "voluntary" income tax in this country but yet be forced to volunteer? This question is just one, of many, which the federal courts have declined to rule on for reasons of their own convenience. Maybe if we get a long-term shakeup in SCOTUS and lower courts we will see a decline in legal hypocrisy and tyranny in this country. I don't think this can happen though until we also stop trying to be the world's policeman while simultaneously being determined to take care of all the needs of our own people. Many legal reforms will require the money to finance them, and the govt. has tried every kind of trick, fraud, shell game, creative borrowing and financing possible, with the present agony we are in the result. It's all going to suddenly collapse soon!

Get a clue...they do it all the time. I support what happened in Texas. But then I love Texas justice! They just bust down the dang gate and take the women and children out! This should have been done YEARS ago in AZ and they would not have made it to Texas.

Holy #@$%!!! And you're fine with that? It's no wonder this country is in the shape it's in if people like you don't find the REAL injustice here.

Just as long as it doesn't happen to you, right?

Here's the thing ... *IF* it turns out there were persons that violated state and/or federal laws at this "ranch" then I will be the first to say "get a rope" and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. But, if the state violated ANY person's rights in going in there to "free" the children (actually, children now, but it will become children and mothers soon with only the men - ALL the men, guilty or not - being the evil ones) then a greater injustice has occurred. For if they do that, then what is there to stop them from doing it again, and again, and again - not only in a circumstance such as this but of ANY type of circumstance that they want.

They didn't just go in based on a phone call. There was an investigation done after the phone call. Just as was done in my case were my X claimed the same on me over and over. I got my due process and so did they.

Stoltz, have you ever gone through a CPS interview? I have on serveral occasions.

If your going to complain about CPS on something then how about this: http://cbs11tv.com/local/foster.child.death.2.706284.html

Under Texas law if you have lived with someone for two or more years and you introduce that person as your wife you are by common law married.
===========================================================

This site says that you have to also file a joint tax return with the common law spouse to have a commom law marriage:

I doubt if they would have been doing that, [/quote]

That is a generic web page for most states cases. You need to go by Texas law: http://www.co.travis.tx.us/dro/common_law.asp

Old men have been raping young girls and you sit here and try to justify it? Puh-lease.

For all of you that think the families rights were violated then answer me this. Lets say your neighbors had a daughter and she told you that she was being sexually aboused by her step-dad and you believed her.

1. Would you report it?

If you did then why should they believe you and there is no proof? What actions would you expect?

i agree with chatterbox.
having csp involved in my own little world,
i can say there needs to be VERY tough and almost concrete evidence to take a child from a parent or to prevent a child from being given even supervised visits.

Usually they err on the side of caution towards the PARENTS.
and the dividing line on abuse is pretty specific for the children to be removed.

Im not sure,
but somehow, i think there MUST be more to this story that we are being told.

If it was ONLY adult men and teenage girls in the abusive senarios then probably only those girls would be removed, or those girls would have to stay only with their moms.
Or some such senario.
BUT,
to remove ALL the kids?
little ones? boys and girls?

i dont know.

there HAS to be more to this
for csp to make such a choice.
especially when you consider the publicity
and the number of children involved.

It must not be just the potential abuse of older men to teenage girls.
I really think there is much more to this.

and if so...Poor kids!

FWIW just heard that the kids are completely naive about modern, consumerist American culture, wear the same simple clothes every day, have never watched TV or played computer games and don't know what a gun is. The foster parents don't know what to do with them.

What abuse!!
