I was "ripped off", taken advantage of by 2 attorneys just trying to get a decent divorce. First attorney took my money, closed his firm, and ran. He was on the local news for his malpractice. A bar complaint was filed. I never recieved my $ back! 2nd attorney said I would get my divorce for no more than $3500. He charged my credit cards over $15,000. He took advantage of me, an innocent, never divorced before, mother of 2. He worked more for my husband than he did for me. My ex got the house, everything went his way. Now I am struggling with attorney debt and living expenses on my credit cards, can hardly afford rent, no medical ins. for me or my kids. I don't know who to talk to for help. Attorneys want to charge me $200-$300hr. Most don't want to touch this case. I need HELP!!!!!

Hi,
Have you considered representing yourself? It sounds scarier than it actually is. If you don't want to do that, there may be some attorneys in Az who take cases pro-bono. Off the top of my head, I don't know of any, but you may find some help if you go to the courthouse and ask for some information in the self-help library area.

I feel your pain! I paid $5K to an attorney and he was golfing buddies with my ex's lawyer and he gave him everything! I ended up representing myself...the judges were fair with CS etc. Division of property however cannot be revisited.

Please go to lawyerratingz.com and post that info under their names. All three.

People will never know unless you tell them.
