My wife and I have been seperated for 6 months. We understand a years seperation is necessary before filing for divorce. Can this time be used towards our year if we did not register with the courts for a legal seperation.
I am currently going through a divorce also and we did not wait a year for the divorce. Do you have children involved? I had tried settling out of court to save money on lawyers was he would not settle. We are now fighting in court and our final hearing should of been last week but I backed out and did not settle. We have been seperated for 7 months now. You can go to court and file for a temporary hearing while waiting to proceed with the divorce. Good Luck!
Are the two of you not making court dates having anything to do with you not wanting a divorce? Why would you miss such a date? I can't even get near the building, let alone a divorce judge.
