Quitclaim details

My wife and I have just completed a divorce. Now we need to take each other off the 2 homes we own. I know we will need to refinance each loan, but I have some questions around the quitclaim process. I see a ton of websites that allow you to download the form online and have it notarized and you are all good. She has a co-worker telling her that quitclaims cost $1500+. What is the problem with us just using a $20 online form and doing it ourselves? Am I missing something?
