Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!
Thanks for your opinion. We all thought it was so strange. Even her attorney said the judge does it diffently than all the other judges she has been to before. However, she won't question him on it at all. This judgment has been in place since last Oct. It is temporary support so hopefully she can ask for another look at it. I do think she will need another attorney though. This is also just half the story. Her husband wants half the value of her business also. She started a company 3 years ago so according to him it is marital property. I would also like her to ask for help in child care costs which runs over $20,000 per year.
