a rebound is that thing that temporarily knocks you off your feet. maybe you use them they use you. it's kind of the first time 'getting back in the saddle'.

mine lasted less than two months.

it was all good.
no regrets.

i will never date a newly separate person,
as the chances of being a rebound are SUPER high.

i take that back. i would never get INVOLVED with a newly separated person for that reason.

My rebound from my first marriage lasted 34 years! Wow. What a struggle THAT was. I don't really have an answer. I think maybe it has to do with how far along you are in healing from the shocker of your divorce. Unfortunately, there is no finish line for that, but if you've done some self-analysis, and understand what went wrong, when and how, and have come to some sort of peace and forgiveness in your mind, maybe then you can enter a new relationship with some sort of perspective that will keep it from being just a rebound.

i dont think theres a specific amount of time to qualify. its an internal schedule. you know deep down if your in that relationship bc you need the confidence boost and companionship vs truly being in a real relationship
