when i left in march of 07, i took "my car", (bought during the marriage but in her name). The car was not running for 3 months and i intended to fix it when i got the money. recently she had my car towed, then said she took it to a mechanic and they said it cant be fixed. from that she says she had the car scrapped. are vehicles marital assets, can she do this without reembursing me.

It's pretty clear the car is a marital asset, and also was worth scrap value, and that's it.

If it has already been scrapped and now you won't get the car why ask if she can do it?? She did!!
If it turns out she was wrong and didn't have the right what do you stand to gain? You still don't get the car!
So you need to ask yourself, is this about the car, that is gone. Or is this about you wanting to extract some justice from her!

Unless it was court ordered otherwise, she was free to do with the car as she pleased.
