Splitting Health Insurance for minor children

Both parties are to split health insurance for minor children 50/50, the insurance holder has remarried and has 3 step children..
Insurance added to the mother's coverage is 300/month for all kids no mater if it is 1 or 20 kids. How much is the father supposed to pay for his 2 kids? 300/5 x2 or half of the total amount of additional insurance ccoverage?

Probably 1/2 of the 300 because it doesn't matter if its 1 or 20. It doesn't sound fair but who said that the civil courts are fair. Be happy for insurance coverage. it could be worse.

Thank you. I figured that would be the case. I can see both sides of the issues, and don't want this to turn into a fight.
