can someone help

i wanted to get divorced and im not working,my husband says that he wants the kids since he is the one working. can this happen? i want my kids to be with me but he sounds confident that he has the right to have them.

Don't believe so. Simply put, if you're not working, he may end up having to pay child support and alimony, in which case you'd have money to support the children. Most likely going to wind up with joint custody.
