Met her online. Talked with her for a little while last night. Not sure if we really have much in common. Well, I take that back, we do have some stuff in common. Just not sure if she's my type. She's a smoker, into Nascar, very much a southern girl. Not typically the things I would look for. Just going to meet for dinner. See how it goes.
Funniest thing. She's been divorced for several years. She LIVES with her in-laws. Her ex lives in another state and rarely comes to visit. I guess they still treat her like the daughter they never had and her father is dead. She has a 19 year old daughter that lives with a boyfriend.

Smoker, Nascar, and lives with in-laws would be deal breakers by themselves for me. All three together would of ended the online conversation.
But, it's a warm body and some companionship. Who knows, she may end up being a really nice lady. Good luck!

yeah, one thing I've learned from the separation so far is that I should no longer judge a book by it's cover.

Heck, I live with friends. Sounds like maybe the inlaws love her more than the son. Them southern gals can be quite the catch. Besides...what is our type? I think sometimes we have our expectation set way to high. Take a chance...ya got nothin' to lose.

In my pathetic post-divorce lifestyle I've actually began to watch some NASCAR. It's OK. Cars going round and round.

I love NASCAR...but I quit smoking, and I own my own place.
Watch out for southern women...they tend to be the strong type..lol

Date was ok. Nice enough lady. Wierd for me to be on a date with someone my own age as my wife was 6 years younger. A bit better looking in person. I hope I don't offend the ladies. I don't want you to think I'm shallow, but her body was similar to my mothers, so that just kind of seemed like a bit of a turnoff for me. No real lust felt on my part. She said she was interested in seeing me again. Actually, we will, but as part of some meetup groups that we both belong too.
The funny story is in regards to her living with her inlaws. It turns out the reason she got divorced 6 years ago is because her husband finally admitted to himself that he was gay. So, it was a bit of a shocker to his parents and they treat her now like the daughter then never had.
