Divorce Support Forums: Sooo Forever Separated

I am so frustrated and confused. I have been separated since Feb. 2004 and legally separated since Dec.2005 AND have a legal separation agreement with my 'x' (as far as I'm concerned but NOT LEGALLY "X" yet) He was supposed to buy me out by last Sept 11th and doesn't seem to be in any hurry to do so. The pathetic part is only MY name is on the mortgage of the house HE is living in and the mortgage is now 120 days past due and is ruining my credit. He is in breach of contract and is the only one benefiting from this, because apparently I have to take the numerous steps to present these facts to the courts and he gets to remain married to me and continue to have my medical, dental and vision. Trust me he's in no hurry to get divorced and is dragging this out so he can continue with the benefits of being married to me... I am beside myself. What happened to getting divorced in MD after a one year separation? We are talking over 3 years! And I can't get divorced? Went to the Scheduling Conference which was scheduled over 4 months away and then what? A 'hearing conference' probably another 4-6 months away, will then be scheduled and I will still be married! It's driving me crazy. My lawyer said as long as we're in 'litigations' a motion for divorce will not be granted. Somebody, please bring some sanity back to me. Is the 'system' for 'good' guy or for the one that can use it to his benefit to forever stay legally separated?
