Quitclaim deed

I am in the process of trying to have an amicable divorce for my children sake. My husband wants me to sign a quitclaim deed on a house he is buying in california. I refused. He says I will still get half of the value of the house. But I am not sure he is telling the truth does anyone know the answer?

do not sign it you are still married. sign as co-owners or you will be totally screwed!
