sunday evening, met on yahoo...have emailed back and forth. he's here working for habitat for humanity. i'll admit it does feel very weird not having seen a photo of him. but he sounds like a well educated, decent guy. hey its just dinner. at a very public place. meeting him there.
who am i trying to convince here?

Just be carefull and have fun, even if there is no chemistry you get a good meal with a new friend. Ive met a couple of people on these matching sights most have been pleasant dates, no sparks no romance but hey I can always use another friend. I have perfected the vault from possible date status to brother status, I am so good at it seems to happen without me even trying ;-)

I have a blind date tomorrow. He is the great on paper guy. I always like the biker dudes with criminal records and no job. This guy is way too nice and it is a lil scary!

yeah sometimes i think i am destined to just have guy friends ...one of my oldest and best friends is a guy..we've been friends for 41 years.
it just feels weird to not even have seen a photo of him... it's the typical this is what i will be wearing scenario......
course i guess it's no stranger than meeting guys whose picture i have seen who really don't look a whole lot like their photos...
and god only knows i have enuf to do to keep myself busy between now and then!!!

cwag...let us know how it goes for you too...you've got me all curious. I can't even think about dating right now, but it is interesting reading about those who are ready to date...I hope he turns out to be a looker. I know, I know looks aren’t everything…but they help

been hanging out with my new bf all day.
just met him. big brown eyes.. o boy were we hot today!!

came to a bereavement day camp we do. what a story. melted my heart. didn't have transporation so i picked him and he hung out with me till a little while ago when his dad got off work...
what a charmer...

It went quickly. He asked for the check after the appetizer. I had not eaten all day. We walked to the movie theatre and the movie wasn't for 2 hours. So we walked around the mall and he said he wanted to go run on his treadmill. He gave me a hug and left. So I went to the cantina and had way too much to drink. Came home and passed out. Now I have been awake since 1am with a headache. Funny...the ones I don't like always like me. Oh well I am not gonna date anymore for awhile. Not worth all the effort to leave hungry and disappointed and end up home at 6pm to spend the evening alone.

You could have had a better time at home with us Julia. But you never know. It might have turned out great and you deserve that shot. I'm not ready to take it yet myself but then again no one has offered either. I'm pretty tied up in work and my daughter's life plus I was never one who attracted a ton of guys because I was always so shy. I am hoping for something good to come along someday though.
Go get something to eat, you must be starving.
