My wife and I are going to do a no fault uncontested divorce in Texas. We have been living apart and both agree to just keep what we have now. What she has now is hers and what I have now is mine. That's all covered in the draft divorce decree.
How do we protect each other from making a claim against each other's retirement funds later? We already agreed to not do this but should it be covered in the divorce decree?
Yes, it should be covered in the divorce decree. I assume you're going to have an agreed order? If you have life insurance you might want to also cover that as well.
