Wow, first time ever posting anything, posted in the wrong place first, sorry. Well, "Hi" fellow divorced/divorcing Washingtonians, new to the site - Eastside Seattle area. Taking care of my 8 year old daughter. This is a fantastic support group, can't believe it took me this long to find. Just reading these posts has helped me, thank you. Hope I can contribute back in some way. Will read on, it's great.

Well, he's moved out (after my lawyer told me to get him out) and I'm in an empty house. Been married 33 years, got 2 grown kids and I never dreamed I'd be in this situation. I thought my marriage was secure. What a surprise I got!

I know the feeling well except for the 33 years. I was only 13 years, but same thing I was blindsided with infidelity and such.

Well, I'm hanging in there - I'm seeing a good counselor near U Village and she's got me doing a lot of writing. I took her a 7-page piece yesterday and she had me read it to her. It sure is therapeutic to write about what's going on! It helps to clarify my thoughts and feelings a great deal. I highly recommend it!
