When my husband and I separated he left all his things with me because he had no where to put them. This was 3 months ago. He keeps promising to get them, but then just blows me off. What can I legally do with this stuff? I have emailed him at least once a week asking what to do with no legimate anwser. Can anyone tell me what I can do with this stuff legally? I really didn't know where else to turn. Thanks. Sharon

Has anyone filed for divorce, or did he just leave, and leave his stuff? 3 months isn't really all that long. Many people have put up with a year or more free storage for their stbx's stuff. I started getting rid of my stbx's stuff 6 months after he left and I filed. My lawyer said to give him a written time limit, and after that time limit, I'd be free to remove items as I pleased. I still have some of his stuff 18 months later. But, it's out in the garage, and I don't really see it or care about it.
