Ladies, don't you think getting out there and doing that "man's work" is a great stress relief? Even though you might be cursing the whole time, it feels so good to accomplish what you set out to do, even if it takes all day. It usually leaves you exhausted so you sleep better, too.
I'll be cleaning my gutters shortly. Boobaby, I'll have to refer to your instructions before I get started...

g-girl631,
Please remember your helmet, goggles, AND most importantly.....SURGICAL MASK!!!
P.S. Diesel fuel is for burning down trees, NOT for gutter-cleaning. Apparently, "Swiffer, mop, hose and ladder" are the preferred "tools-of-the-trade" for a true "Gutter Cleaner"!!!
Be careful. If possible, just send the "Swiffer" up the ladder. (Just can't stop laughing at "Swiffer".....where do I find one of these "Multi-Task" tools of interest???).

Yes, I completely agree. Actually, I would much rather mow and edge the yard than clean the house. If I ever get my finances straightened out I may hire a maid to do the house cleaning and do the yard myself. I find it theraputic, especially since sometimes I imagine my stbx lying in the yard and i just MOW RIGHT OVER HIM! It's great! Not that I would REALLY do such a thing, but sometimes it helps me feel better. And no, the doctor says I'm not crazy. Just depressed.

Ahhhh.... ...no
It's nice WHEN you can accomplish something, but most times I'm met with frustration because projects are beyond my scope of expertise. Tears are never fun.

No idea Revenge but I am trying to figure out how to get to some of the gems on this forum. They are articulate, funny, understand all men are not the pigs they just got rid of, and I would be remiss if I left out that they would help me with my projects and not laugh at me but instead laugh with me in my goof ups.

Well, sometimes things aren't always so funny. For instance, last year when I was trying to mow the yard I tried for over 2 hours to get the lawn mower started. My neighbor even saw me came across the street and tried to help too. No luck. By this time I was so completely frustrated that I took the darn thing to the alley and put it in the dumpster (don't ask me how I got it in there, I almost had a hernia but my anger was fueling me along quite nicely). Then I went to the store and bought a new one that claimed it was an "easy start" mower. You don't have to pull the string very hard and it works absolutely great! However, when I told my brother on the phone that I threw my old lawn in the dumpster he had a cow and said "did you change or clean the spark plugs." And I was like "spark plugs? I didn't know lawn mowers had spark plugs." So, now before I throw power tools away I am supposed to call my brother first! Oopsie!

But you see City you are even finding the humor in things that are not funny now, trust me that is a rare quality that I admire. Life is tough enough without whining about it.
