HAVE YOU BEEN ABUSED BY A ROMANTIC PARTNER?
If you are a heterosexual man who has experienced any physically and/or psychologically abusive behaviors from a former partner, you are eligible to participate in a survey about your experiences. I am a researcher at the University of Illinois collecting information about people’s experiences in abusive relationships.
The abuse of men is a topic that has not received very much attention by researchers, and men are typically more reluctant to share their experiences of being abused. With that in mind, I am now particularly interested in hearing from men who have been abused by their female partners. If you know a man who may have been involved in an abusive relationship, please consider forwarding this information/link to them.
To participate, you must (1) be a U.S. citizen or reside in the U.S., (2) have experienced some type of abusive behavior in a heterosexual, romantic relationship, (3) be currently out of (no longer in) the abusive relationship with your former partner, and (4) no longer living with this person. If you meet these criteria, please consider taking an approximately 30 minute survey located here:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=lsGlU5uwhXMhcV7uBsHkyA_3d_3d
Simply re-paste the link above to get started.
Your identity will be anonymous. By participating, you are giving much needed information about abusive relationships. You will not receive any compensation for taking this survey, but you will be providing important information to help others.
If you have questions before, during, or after participating, please contact Jessi Eckstein at jessi.research@gmail.com. If you choose to contact me via email, your email address and contact information will be deleted; there will be nothing linking you to the information you provide in the survey.

I object to the unscientific nature of this survey, and to the obvious way that it can be manipulated to serve the agendas of certain organized groups such as NOW, etc.
If the one-sided results thus obtained go unquestioned, along with the survey's scientific validity, then no doubt these results will eventually be used, as all others have in the past, in the furtherance of passage of even more law to "protect" women from so-called abuse, when law in this area is already redundant, many times over!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MAN IS ABUSED BY THE WOMAN WIFE IN ILLINOIS? I know they have many places to help the woman but, I don't think they have any help available to MEN. Women now a days can be just as mean as any man if u ask me.....I am a woman married to a husband that was very metally abused by the x-wife. And she is still doing everything in her power to make his life a living hell. The courts in Illinois have helped her......she has painted the picture that she was the one whom was the victim. I am not just going by what my husband says but also, the children and his family. Plus we have been together for 10 years now.....so I have seen her in action. She is a money hungry, angry [censored] n we think she just hates men. She has ripped my husband off but she doesnt stop there she also has stolen from the children and will most likely continue. Well, thanks for allowing me to vent. God bless anyone who reads this!!!
