had friends over for a bbq! totally last minute.. had a great time. i even cooked good! popped a few fireworks..
nice day.
first time i've done that since i moved...hell it's probably the first time i did it since the divorce.
will do more!

OMG! Cwag, I thought you meant, you 'pulled' a Kent.
The other meaning 'pulled', you know, 'scored'. So I thought you meant you'd gone out with a new guy who was like Kent!
Anyway, well done on the food/entertaining! Kent would be proud.

CWAG -- congrats on hosting. Isn't it a GREAT ego boost? Gives a sense of new life and connection. It is a great way to build confidence and to get some hope. I am VERY proud of you.
So ... when are you hosting your next one?
I had a great time hosting mine today too. We played bocce ball, volleyball, bbq etc. Then later I went over to some other friends and got to be a guest. We drove to some fireworks that are shot over a big lake in the area.
I am debating about doing my first hosting where I combine people from my different circles.
BTW -- the "pulled one" term ... I had never heard that one either.

in that case. i so did not pull a kent
very good hamburgers, green onion sausage, potato salad, and friends brought fruit salad and a delicious apple pie.
pretty standard american food.

didn't Plan this one - it just happened...
i DO want to have a *party* for all of the people who have been there for me over the last year and a half...
need to do some thinking on that one..
almost might need to wait till the fall for that - when we can do something outdoors...
